About these terms

These terms govern your use of the Soar Plumbing and Heating website. They are not the terms of business for work we carry out. Those are provided in writing with your quote, and they are the terms that apply to any job you book.

Information on this website

We keep the content here accurate and current, but it is general information rather than advice for your specific property. Timescales, scope descriptions and any price guidance are indicative. Nothing on this website is an offer capable of acceptance, and no contract is formed by using the site or submitting an enquiry.

Quotes

Quotes for planned work are free and given after a site visit. A quote is fixed for the scope it describes, is valid for the period stated on it, and becomes binding when you accept it in writing. Where work outside that scope becomes necessary, for example something found behind a wall once a room is stripped, we will stop, show you, price the additional work and proceed only once you agree.

Repair and diagnostic visits

Repair work is chargeable from the point of attendance, because the diagnosis is the work. We confirm the rate before attending. Where a repair is not economically sensible we will say so and you will be charged for the diagnostic visit only.

Guarantees and warranties

Workmanship guarantees and manufacturer warranties are confirmed in writing on completion, and the length depends on the work and the products installed. Manufacturer warranties are subject to the manufacturer’s own conditions, which usually include annual servicing by a qualified engineer. Nothing here affects your statutory rights.

Gas work

All gas work is carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers. Notifiable work is registered with building control and you receive the certificate. You are entitled to see the engineer’s Gas Safe ID card at any time.

Acceptable use

You may not use this website in any way that is unlawful, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to it or to any system connected to it. The enquiry form is for genuine enquiries only.

Intellectual property

The content, branding, photography and design of this website belong to Soar Plumbing and Heating or its licensors, and may not be reproduced without permission.

Liability

We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on general information published on this website.

Links to other sites

Where we link to third-party websites, such as the Gas Safe Register, we are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
